Photography by Elizabeth Murray
I have photographed gardens around the world for several decades, and 25 years in Monet's gardens. I was invited to show photograph murals with Claude Monet paintings, in a traveling show to nine museums. My photographs are collected by museums, corporations, hospitals, and private collectors. I make fine art prints as well as publishing and teaching photography workshops. View my photography. Freelance work accepted.

Painterly Photography
by Elizabeth Murray
"Painterly Photography" has become a movement after I published a book on it, a hybrid of photography and painting, employing a vintage Polaroid camera, enlarging the image onto watercolor paper, and then painting on the image with oils, pastels, and colored pencils. Each print is hand-colored and unique (numbered 1/1). My work has shown at Photography West Gallery in Carmel, California. I teach this as an inspirational workshop. View my Painterly Photography.
Whether painting on the cliffs of Big Sur, or in the garden, I bring my spirit and love of light, color, and form into each unique piece. I paint in oils on canvas and heavy, handmade, prepared paper, often mixing the paint with wax for transparency and luminosity. View my paintings.
